Christian Aaron, 19, has been indicted on charges that include two counts of identity theft and grand larceny. The teenager has pleaded not guilty and was ordered by a State Supreme Court Justice to be held in lieu of a $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
The indictment alleges that Aaron and a co-conspirator ascertained the Suffolk County victim’s American Express account information and proceeded to have replacement credit cards sent to them. They allegedly proceeded to purchase plane tickets to Hawaii, opened a second account in their victim’s name and purchased nearly $19,000 worth of high-end handbags.
According to reports, Aaron allegedly planned to buy more handbags in stores using the account, but got cold feet. Aaron also allegedly impersonated his victim over the phone during calls that were recorded by American Express.
Aaron currently has approximately 184,000 Instagram followers and runs a YouTube channel that features new videos each week that has nearly 43,000 subscribers.
